What's On In The Forest Of Dean
Welcome to "What's On In The Forest of Dean", a site dedicated to helping people enjoy all that the Forest of Dean has to offer.
The Forest, one of the surviving ancient woodlands in England, is located in Gloucestershire, situated between two rivers; the Severn and Wye. It has the largest oak woodland in England, and is a great place to explore, boasting historic buildings, gardens, museums and craft centres.
There are many events taking place throughout the year in the Forest of Dean. Events such as the world famous Severn Bore, Wyedean Rally, Half Marathon, and Music Festivals make the Forest of Dean an attractive place to visit.
It is the perfect location to help you unwind and provides many outdoor activities to suit the family, including scenic walks, biking, caving, abseiling or canoeing. Alternatively, if you are looking for a quiet place to relax, a night out, somewhere to eat, or a place to stay then "What's On In The Forest" is the perfect place to look.

How To Find Us |
We are running an exciting caving activity suitable for all ages from 5yrs upwards; why not take the children on a real adventure or if you are an adult with a yearning for adventure, but haven't tried caving, then this is your chance; go off the public pathways and experience the mine just as the miners left it, sometimes centuries ago.
This is a Semi Deep Level trip where you are taken on a tour of the show caves and then wearing our helmets and lamps you will do a simple caving activity into areas only possible by tackling crawls called 'The Letter Box' (you'll see why) and 'The Polo' (because it's cool and does have a small hole in the middle!). This is a two hour activity.
