Cannop Ponds

Speech House Road, Broadwell, Coleford, Gloucestershire, GL16 7EG

How To Find It	A popular and picturesque picnic site with a large grassed area. The ponds are home to various wildlife including mandarin ducks and dragonflies. The top pond is a Wildlife Trust nature reserve. The lower two ponds are fished by Yorkley Angling Club.

Cyril Hart Arboretum

How To Find It	The Arboretum named after local historian Dr Cyril Hart contains a collection of over 400 trees. The collection has a trail that has been specially designed for the visually impaired and a level circular path for less able visitors and pushchairs.

Mallards Pike

Near Blakeney, Gloucestershire, GL15 4JP

How To Find It	A man-made lake located in a pleasant woodland setting. Activities include 3 walking trails, the Adidas running trail, rambler’s routes and a lower lake which can be booked for boating activities - groups only. Located nearby is the Go Ape high-wire forest adventure. The family cycle trail also passes nearby.

How To Find It	Soudley Ponds offers a picturesque and tranquil setting within the forest, and has an abundance of wildlife that includes birds and dragonflies. The trail around the ponds is suitable for the less able and pushchairs. Located nearby, and a steep walk away is the Blaize Bailey viewpoint which offers fantastic views of the River Severn and surrounding countryside.

Symonds Yat Rock

How To Find It	Yat Rock is a world famous viewpoint that overlooks the Wye Valley. The nearby cliffs are the nesting place of peregrine falcons, the fastest bird in the world. From the viewpoint the falcons can be seen soaring above the valley, that drops 120m below.
